"And one of the Scribes came who had heard them disputing
together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him,
Which is the first of all the commandments? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, Oh, Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And you will love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all
your soul, and with all your understanding, and with all your strength.
This is the first commandment. And the second is like,
namely this, You will love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other
commandment greater than these.
And the Scribe said to him, Well, Master, you have said the truth: for there is one God; and there is no other but he, And to love him with all the heart, and
with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the
strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all burnt
offerings and sacrifices.
And when Jesus saw that he
answered wisely, he said to him, You are not far from the kingdom of
God. And no man after that dared ask him any questions."

"These things I write to you, so you do not sin." 1 John 2:1-6 (AeP Tyndale21 Version
"My little children, these things I write to you, so you do not sin. If any man sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, who is righteous, And it is he who obtains grace for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of all the world. And by this we are sure that we know him: if we keep his commandments. He who says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Whoever keeps his word, in him is the love of God perfected in deed. And by that, we know that we are in him. He who said he lives in him ought to walk just as he walked."

Scripture: John 1:19-24 in the AeP T21 Version "I am the voice of a crier in the desert"
"And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who are you? And he confessed, and did not deny, but said plainly, I am not Christ. And they asked him, What then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you a prophet? And he answered, No. Then they said to him, Who are you, so we may give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself? He said, I am the voice of a crier in the desert, Make straight the road of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said. And those who were sent were from the Pharisees."

Matthew 6:14-18 (AeP T21 Version) "Because if you do not forgive the sins of others..."
"Because if you will forgive the sins of others, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, But if you do not forgive the sins of others, your Father will no longer forgive your sins. Further, when you fast, do not be sad as the hypocrites are, because they disfigure their faces, so they may be seen by others to be fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face; So that you do not appear to be fasting, except to your Father who is hidden. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly."
