"And there were in the same region shepherds who stayed in the field to keep watch over their flock at night. And, Look, the angel of the Lord was standing next to them, and the brightness of the Lord shined all around them, and they were very afraid. And the angel said to them, Do not be afraid, because Look, I bring you good news of great joy, which will come to all people.
For to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this as a sign: You will find the child wrapped and laid in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a plethora of heavenly soldiers praising God, and saying, Glory to God on high and peace on earth, and to men, rejoicing.
And it happened that as soon as the angels had gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, Let us now go to Bethlehem, and see this thing has happened which the Lord has shown to us."

Luke 1:26-37 in the Abbott ePublishing Tyndale21 Version
"And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in to her, and entering, said, Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. And when she saw him, she was very troubled at his words, and threw thoughts around in her mind about what kind of greeting this was. And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary: because you have found favor with God. And, Look, you will conceive in your womb, and give birth to a son, and will call his name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, And he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and there will be no end to his kingdom. Then said Mary to the angel , How will this be, since I have not been with a man? And the angel answered her, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you, therefore also that holy thing which will be born of you will be called the Son of God. And, Look, your cousin Elisabeth, she has also conceived a son in her old age. And this is the sixth month, although she was called sterile. For with God, nothing can be impossible."
